Please join us in congratulating team member – Namtip – as our AUGUST volunteer of the month!
She says “I relocated from Thailand about 8 years ago and the first couple years trying to adjust to life in the U.S. were very hard. I became very homesick and missed my cats in Thailand very much. I decided to look for something to put my mind at ease so I started to volunteer at Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville, WA, where I helped with cat care for two years.
Over the years I found great joy in caring for rescue cats and developed a passion for helping them. I then moved to Colorado Springs and continued my volunteer work at a cat rescue named Look What The Cat Brought In, where I spent four years helping cats.
Finally, I began with Wild Blue a little over a year ago and am now taking care of the feral enclosure (Maya’s Wildheart Village) every Sunday morning, and also at the sanctuary when needed. It has been a delight to get to know the cats at Wild Blue, especially at the feral enclosure. It took a few months for the feral cats to get used to me, but now I can pet some of them and they wait for me at the gate for the food, of course.
Volunteering to help animals has really become part of my life and I will continue doing this as long as I can. I am so glad to be part of the Wild Blue Animal Sanctuary which does such an excellent job taking care of the cats. Wild Blue has outstanding facilities, a dedicated staff, and cat lover volunteers who will go above and beyond to make our cats happy. Cats are my furry friends, best companions, family, and my therapy when my life is down. Life without cats is a dull life, indeed.”
Thank you very much Namtip for your dedication to the Wild Blue kitties!
