I have been volunteering with Wild Blue for about a year and a half now. After my first day I completely fell in love with it. I’ve been a cat person since I could walk so I knew this was a place I could belong. I love the fact that there are no cages at the sanctuary. The facility itself is so wonderful because the kitties are able to run around and get exercise. After a few sanctuary shifts I found myself wanting to do more, ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a part of exactly what Wild Blue is. So I was invited to start doing other things that I really enjoy, like adoptions, fostering and following up on adoptions. Maya’s Village is also always a joy to visit, Peyton greets me every time with a friendly meow which makes me smile from ear to ear. All the volunteers are so friendly, welcoming and everyone works so hard, it really is a group/team effort to do all that Wild Blue does. I have made many friendships that will last a lifetime and it has been and will continue to be the best part of my week to be at Wild Blue. I have finally found a place to do what I have wanted to do my entire life and am so thankful for everyone who helps save all of these precious lives.
