I am known as the Cat Whisperer here at Wild Blue Cats! and started volunteering back in January 2018. Immediately I fell in love with all the unique kitties, especially the scared, shy, more difficult cats that have gone through a traumatic past and need much needed love, patience, and kindness for them to recover and truly enjoy life again.
My specialty is helping those “hurt” kitties recover, feel safe, learn to trust people again, and eventually find their forever homes! Oftentimes I will spend hours at the rescue sitting with the kitties as I photograph them, talking softly, reading, trying to encourage them to play or showing them that being petted and getting human love is actually really nice!
I take many of the photographs you see on Wild Blue’s social media pages, I’m evening working on my own photography business called CameraReflections! Please feel free to follow me on Facebook or Instagram to see my artwork! My volunteer work with Wild Blue includes socializing, doing adoption counseling, teaching new volunteers, foster helping, kitty komfort, visiting the feral’s at Maya’s Village and Kaylene’s Kradle, and doing so much more!! I love it, and typically “jump” at opportunities to help in anyway I can when available. I am learning new things here everyday! Gaining more skills and knowledge to better help those in need!
I am 21 years old working as a Barn/Horse Manager for the owner and founder of Wild Blue Cats! I also pet/house sit too!
I am the second oldest of seven siblings, (three of those siblings have four legs!) 1 dog and 2 cats. Kya our Australian cattle dog mix pit bull. Mikami
our tuxedo boy, and his sister Mikasa who is an all black cat. My family also had a chocolate lap mix Chinese shar-pei named Starbuck. He was our boy for 15 years! Sadly passed away this month…
Volunteering here with Wild Blue, and working with all the wonderful cats and people, has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I was in a dark place with my life before discovering Wild Blue, and now I can’t even imagine where I would have been in life if it weren’t for volunteering here! Wild Blue isn’t just improving the lives of the cats they rescue, it is also improving the lives of the people who come here and volunteer and make a difference!! We are all cat loving and animal loving friends who are there for the kitties, and each other! I’m looking forward to many more years with this amazing place! Thank you to all the amazing people and animals here at Wild Blue Cats! Also thank you to everyone who took the time to read this!
