Hi there! My name is Tiffany, my son Trent and I have been volunteering at Wild Blue Cats for over a year now. Last year at school Trent was required to complete 8 hours of volunteer work for a class he was taking. He decided to apply at Wild Blue. We had adopted our two cats from Wild Blue the year before and they are the most amazing cats.
Once I arrived at the sanctuary and went through the orientation with him I realized I wanted to be part of this amazing organization as well.
Trent and I volunteer monthly at an adoption fair and love pairing the precious cats and kittens with their new families. It is very rewarding when you see the miracle of the cats and kittens finding their people. There have also been numerous times those previous adopter’s just stops by to tell us how great their cat is doing and to show us pictures. We fill in at Kitty Komfort when needed as well. We love chatting with all pet lovers and it has been a great opportunity for both Trent and me to get to know a variety of people and the other amazing volunteers.
Our cats, Popple and Marsala, have brought us so much joy. Marsala was a feral rescue who was too friendly to be left as a feral cat so Wild Blue fostered her until she was ready to be adopted. Popple was the last of her litter of kittens and we are so lucky she was left for us.
When Popple and Marsala aren’t napping or playing they can be found watching the fish in our small saltwater aquarium or watching Trent’s corn snake Harry slither around his habitat.
We love all animals and are grateful we can be part of Wild Blue Cats.
