Meet our January 2022 Kitty of the Month….. Atari!
Atari is a white short-haired kitty with tabby markings on his head and tail, born approximately 5/21/16 and has 1 blue eye and 1 golden eye. He came to Wild Blue
seeking to improve his feelings and trust toward humans, and has learned so much with patient love. He now accepts petting (some days more than others) and is much more relaxed. He is a confident guy with a hearty appetite, and can be choosy with his socializers. He may swat when he is not “in the mood” for petting so being vigilant and respectful of his body signs is key. He is a “protector of others” and may confront other felines or humans if he hears another kitty in distress.
However, he often shows interest in playing with toys on a wand, especially if they have catnip, and occasionally plays with toy mice independently when all is calm. He is also fascinated with the laser light. A calm, quiet, adult only environment would suit Atari best and provide the arena for him to continue to grow and feel secure. Scheduled play time, meals, and places to chill (for hunt, eat, groom, sleep cycles) provide best success, plus time and patience.
