Little Valorian had his eye removal surgery and it went very well! He is resting and starting to feel much better with the severely damaged, swollen, infected eye removed. So far his second eye seems to be healing so time will tell if he gets sight back on the left side. Our medical team has him down in Roswell, NM so they can continue monitoring him while we complete the 3 day long spay and neuter clinic for the city.
Varum continues to improve in leaps and bounds. The loss of his eyes at a young age isn’t going to slow this little fighter down. With the infection clearing he is eating, gaining weight, and turning into a purr monster.
Vorticity is looking like his left eye will need to be removed at a later date as swelling continues. It seems like his infection may be clearing so we are waiting to see if the eye is salvageable or not. Continue to send lots of healing vibes and prayers up for these kittens as they continue to heal!
Our two bottle babies are growing stronger and we hope they will transition from syringe with nipple to a bottle soon. The rest of the kittens are continuing to improve by tiny amounts. Play and purring are becoming more commonplace. A few got to sit out in the sun for some healing rays today. We continue to monitor them for weight gain and signs of increased infection.
Thank you all who have donated to date! Your contributions are allowing us to focus on the kittens and giving them the best care possible instead of worrying about if we can give them the best care. You are all amazing!
