Next update on 10/21 as our kittens continue to grow and heal!On the 10th you read about and saw how our awesome veterinary team put a treatment plan in place for our kittens to help heal and save any eyes we can save. Today all our Eye Caramba kittens continue to improve by leaps and bounds. The resilience of these 18 kittens never ceases to amaze us and your help has been integral to their excellent care.
We are at our 1 month point since we were alerted to these very ill kittens and our team and the ranchers jumped into action to save all we could. The first 4 kittens came to us on 22 Sept and the following day Varum was in emergency surgery to save his tiny life. The removal of his damaged and infected eyes saved him. The same day the ranch found the rest of the kittens and brought the 12 older kittens to Wild Blue Cats to start their healing journey. A few days later newborns were located and one was unresponsive, brought back from the brink by the quick acting family on the ranch then quickly transferred to Wild Blue’s expert bottle feeders. His tiny life and that of his sibling was saved.
We are so grateful to everyone who has stepped up to help take the financial strain off the rest of our kitties at Wild Blue Cats while we worked hard 24/7 to save these precious 18 lives. I’ve asked the fosters to send me updated photos so you can see how the treatments to help heal their eyes are making huge strides in just 4 short days of treatment…. And our bottle feeder got me some updated pictures of our tiniest of the Eye Caramba 18! As they continue to grow and heal some of our Eye Caramba 18 Kittens will be getting ready for adoption. We have some with healed eyes and are just finishing up growing and getting spayed and neutered before they find their forever homes. Our HERO KITTIES who donated blood for the eye saving eye drops are also still available for adoption through wbcats.org/adopt
All incoming donations will continue pay for the medical needs of our Eye Caramba kittens. We appreciate all who have donated and shared to this point! Next update on Oct 21st to let the kittens keep on healing and growing. We couldn’t do this without all of you! Thank you from Wild Blue Cats and the Eye Caramba 18 Kittens!
