I’ve been volunteering at Wild Blue since September of 2021. My husband Bill and I moved here 3 years ago from Ventura, CA a year after we retired, me from teaching in elementary school. We had our own cats since kittens. Granite died at 22, and Sage at 18.
We adored our sweet cats and were heart broken when they passed, so I volunteered at a cat refuge in CA until we moved to Colorado. When Bill and I got to The Springs, someone at our new church, a past volunteer, told me about Wild Blue. I eagerly signed up to volunteer. I love loving on kitties and feel nurtured myself. The cats are such a joy, even the spicy ones which challenge my efforts at cat whispering. I often want to bring a kitty home, but I don’t because Bill and I travel and we hate to leave them, or are too sad when they pass, so Wild Blue scratches my itch.., and the kitties’. Wild Blue is such an amazing, loving, caring place for all cats until they find a permanent home.
Thanks for letting me come and spend time with these sweet creatures!
